Road Glide

Stock Road Glide shocks are built for average riders on average roads. Real miles — expansion joints, frost heaves, two-up with bags packed — show every shortcut Harley took. Super Shox rear shocks are hand-built in the USA for Harley-Davidson Touring models, including Road Glide, and matched to your weight, length, and how you actually ride.

Built for Road Glide riders who put on miles
Super Shox Touring shocks fit Harley FLH / FLT Touring platforms (1984–current), including Road Glide models. You get the ride control and durability needed for real-world touring loads.
You’ll notice:
- A noticeably smoother ride over small bumps and big hits
- Better stability and corner confidence when the bike is loaded
- Easy, numbered spring preload so you can dial solo vs two-up in seconds
- Spring rates and damping chosen for your rider weight — not a generic standard / heavy chart
- Hand-assembled, dyno-checked shocks with a lifetime warranty and 30-day money-back guarantee
Choose your Road Glide series
Premier SR1 — $745 (fits 84 to Current)
Best first upgrade. Mounts in the stock location. Huge improvement over OEM for everyday and weekend touring. Available in 13, 13.5, and 14 inches.
Premium SR2 — $895 (fits 2002 to Current)
Our most popular bagger setup. Relocation mounts unlock more travel (LT 14″) or a lower stance (SL 13.5″ / XSL 13″) while the shock is valved for that geometry. 2002–current Touring; will not fit FLHRC leather bags or 2001-and-older swingarms. XSL will not fit with 18″ rear tires or pre-2009 models with wiring in the center of the fender.
Platinum RR1 — $1,450 (fits 2002 to Current)
Premium ride plus dual compression adjusters (remote options available) so you can tune for choppy interstate one day and tighter back roads the next.
Lowered Road Glide without a harsh ride
On Road Glide and other Touring models, a shock longer than 13 inches in the stock mounting location can create axle-nut-to-muffler clearance issues on the right side with full-length exhaust. If you want more travel or a different ride height, the Premium or Platinum path with relocation mounts is usually the cleaner answer.
Super Shox does not force you into two spring rates. We build the spring and damping around your real-world load — rider only, passenger, luggage, or all three.
What we need for a perfect Road Glide build
- Year and exact model (Road Glide year and FLH/FLT platform)
- Current shock length (eye-to-eye) if you know it
- Rider weight and typical passenger / luggage
- Goal: smoother stock height, more travel, or lower look
